My Background
I began my career at the University of Denver where I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. After graduation, I spent seven years working at the Morrison Center, a non-profit organization that delivers specialized services to children and families coping with adversity and trauma.
For the past 20 years I have been in private practice as a clinical psychologist. I specialize in child, marital, and family therapy. I have published research on each of these topics and have presented at local, national, and international conferences.
I have trained social workers, psychology interns, and psychiatry residents and have served as a Clinical Instructor in the Child Psychiatry Department at Oregon Health Sciences University. I am currently working on a book entitled “How Our Children Help Us Grow: The Impact of Parenting on Adult Development.”
